Central Oregon has no shortage of bike shops. Which on is the best one? If you know what brands you are interested in that would be a good place to start. Different shops seem to cater to different crowds. There is the yuppie road bike crowd, the tattooed crowd, the down to earth crowd, the triathlete crowd, the twenty something fashion crowd, the born again cross dressing pedalphile crowd and so on. Which one is which? - I am not going there - you go there - you'll see.

Which one has the best mechanics? For the bigger shops that all depends on who is working on your bike on any given day. If you are a world famous journalist living in Bend then you might be lucky enough to have only their best mechanic work on your bike. If some shop out there wants to work on my bike for free for a plug, then I will quickly vote them the "Best Bike Shop in Central Oregon"
